Monumental injustice

I just received an ‘Urgent Action’ alert from Amnesty International, stating that the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear Troy Davis’s appeal today. Which means that the Georgia authorities can set a new day for his execution any time. Only the U.S. Supreme Court could have granted him a court hearing with the witnesses who have recanted their trial testimony in sworn affidavits; this chance is forever lost.

The Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles can reconsider its previous decision and grant clemency to Troy Davis. Please send an email and urge them to restore the faith in our justice system!
