Michael Palin for President

When I heard the name “Palin” in connection with the Republican VP nomination, I thought of Michael right away — Michael Palin, one of the members of Monty Python’s Flying Circus, who also starred in Meaning of Life, Life of Brian, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and other endlessly funny and hilarious concoctions. No such luck of course; McCain is too stupid for such a choice. Instead, he picked a cheerleader/bimbo who is full of herself and has a cold, ruthless, nasty streak behind a “folksy” smile. Well, some others took the Michael-idea even further and created the Michael Palin for President site — check it out, watch the YouTube video which will have you in stitches, and join the Silly Party — you’ll get a free fuzzy thing.

I should be working on my dissertation and getting ready for the upcoming Abiquiu Studio Tour (more about that soon), but some of the things one finds on the net are just too entertaining to keep for oneself, such as the Sarah Palin Debate Flow Chart which you can actually wear on a T-shirt:

P.S.: I just learned who created this fabulous chart: his name is Aden Nak and he blogs at ph33r and loathing. Bravo!

While your comment comes awfully close to what I consider spam (you posted the EXACT same words on at least one other blog), it led me to the creator of the flow chart. Thanks.

Your chart illustrates a real pattern. We laugh because it’s funny. We laugh because it’s true.

But I have not yet heard anyone from any side express any concern about the most dangerous possibility if Governor Palin is elected to national office.
