Please support the Burmese democracy effort

While internet connection has been partially restored in Burma, news about thousands of peaceful monks and protesters being held in secret prisons don’t easily reach the outside world. The military junta which so brutally suppresses the push for democracy, does everything possible to keep humanitarian assistance from the victims and to cut off all communication.

In order to be able to offer technical assistance and humanitarian support to pro-democracy groups working within the region, Avaaz is trying to raise money for quick transfer to Burma. Please donate as generously as you can.
