I had to check with snopes.com because it sounded just too nutty, but apparently it is true — in Fallujah, a Marine handed out coins promoting Christianity to Sunni Muslims. According to McClatchy News, one side of it asked in Arabic:”Where will you spend eternity?” and the other side answered: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16.”
Isn’t it touching. The Marine just wanted to make sure that they don’t go to Hell as heathen, when they’re killed. The U.S. military quickly removed him from duty, pending an investigation; all he did was a little proselytizing — shouldn’t he get an order or something?
